Spreadsheet.com User Reviews
Spreadsheet.com has all of the familiar capabilities and features that you know and love from the spreadsheet/database/no-code group of products, but with a few standout features: – Unlimited related rows from external documents from the get-go – General comments, row comments and CELL comments – GUEST comments! – Ability to edit and format like you do an actual Sheet or Excel doc (merge cells, flexible resizing, change font formatting, etc) – Color coding rows and cells built into the basic product – Great handling of attachment uploads – Ability to add charts directly on canvas – Pricing that is approachable with small teams and very customer-friendly. We got priced out of Airtable incredibly quickly, and Spreadsheet.com was a savior with its much fairer model – Monthly-ish updates/releases and published roadmap of features (LOVE this) – UNBELIEVABLE SUPPORT: quick personal support and great involvement on the community boards Currently missing a couple of much-needed features to bring it to parity with other existing products: – Biggest item: better handling of notifications and comments (this is supposed to be coming soon, but has apparently been on the roadmap for a while) – Better handling of document access at a team level. You can’t just give everyone in your domain access to the whole platform – you have to give access to specific folders or documents, which becomes a bit more of a pain to manage – Lack of markdown support in text cells (apparently also coming soon) – Automatic view updates; for example, many times when you change the values in which items are grouped, you have to manually reapply the grouping to push the changes to the view. This is not the behavior I’d expect. Spreadsheet.com gives us all the capabilities we need in this product type and allows us to scale properly without breaking the bank. We can easily invite clients to contribute on single, small engagement activities without having to pay for such incredibly limited engagement.
